Established in 1944, the business began under the name Poduval Brothers AKA N.K. Poduval, founded by two visionary brothers — Achutha Poduval and N.K. Poduval.
Initially, the company started as a hardware store, specializing in industrial belts, bearings, and pulleys, catering to the growing industrial and mechanical needs of the region.
Over the decades, the Poduval brothers built a reputation for reliability, quality products, and strong customer relationships — values that became the cornerstone of the business.

In 1986, the founding brothers amicably parted ways, marking a new chapter in the company’s history.
Achutha Poduval continued the legacy as a sole proprietor, rebranding the business as Achutha Poduval & Sons.
From that point onward, the firm embarked on a journey of steady growth and diversification, maintaining the same commitment to service excellence and product integrity that defined its early years.
